• The beauty of the landscape around Lake Constance was a source of inspiration for Erich Heckel during these years.

• Together with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Fritz Bleyl, Erich Heckel was one of the founding members of the expressionist artist group "Brücke in 1905.
