• From his most successful artistic phase.
• Ritschl exhibited at documenta 1 in 1955 and at docuementa II in 1959, the same year he was awarded the Art Prize of the Künstlerbund exhibition.
• He had his first major retrospective at the Museum Wiesbaden in 1955.
• Characteristic composition in geometric forms in front of fluid color spaces.
• Works by the artist can be found in the Neue Nationalgalerie, Berlin, the Bavarian State Painting Collections in Munich and the Sprengel Museum in Hanover

In good condition. Isolated areas with subtle, barely visible drycracks and slight craquelure, isolated tiny retouched spots. The condition report was compiled in daylight with the help of an ultraviolet light and to the best of knowledge.
