Schapire R 9. Söhn HDO 214-4. Signed, once more signed in printing block. On wove paper. 13.6 x 18.7 cm (5.3 x 7.3 in). Sheet: 55 x 40 cm (21,6 x 15,7 in).

• Schmidt-Rottluff was the first "Brücke" artist who focussed on etching.

PROVENANCE: Hubertus Mehlsheimer Kunsthandel, Cologne.
Private collection North Rhine-Westphalia.

Good overall impression. Dark stains in left margin retouched. With small stains in broad margin. Lower right corner slightly crimped and bottom edge rubbed.
